Our Throwback Thursday photo is compliments of Debbie Macy. This was taken in 1966 (approx).

Text from Debbie Macy as follows: It was the opening day of boating season and it happened to be fogged in. We were waiting for the fog to lift to go out on the boat and being kids we were bored waiting. We ended up on the bench in front of what was the pool/restaurant looking out at the fog. My brother (Eric Addison) refused to share the bench with me so I was left to stand (I remember vividly – lol). We were 12 and 6. Wally Funk happened to walk by and took a picture of us. Supposedly he won an award for this photo but he knew our Mom Bettye Bryant and made sure she got a copy of the picture.
We have a long history in Skyline (growing up and then living there since 1971), our Mom sold lots there for Harry Davidson in the late 60’s (for Hill and Hill I think? in the trailer in the now parking lot) and played in the piano bar at Skyline at night to support four kids as a single mom. Our first cousin Chad Fisher Construction is helping you to rebuild Skyline and we are happy to still be living here and loving it!
Thought you would enjoy!
Debbie

Thank you Debbie! We love any old photos and stories of Skyline area. It has a special history all it’s own. Here’s hoping you run across more old photos to share with us here.
